Dr. Beverly “Dr. Z” Zidor believes dentistry is about more than treating teeth. It is about restoring confidence, easing fears, and helping people feel comfortable sharing their smiles again. Early in her career as a dental resident, she experienced a moment that shaped her approach to patient care. One of her first patients had damaged front teeth and was preparing for an important job interview. Dr. Z was able to conservatively restore her smile in just one visit, allowing her to walk into the interview feeling confident and hopeful. Seeing the happiness and gratitude on her patient’s face reminded Dr. Z why she chose dentistry: the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
As a first-generation Haitian-American, Dr. Zidor’s upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for compassion, perseverance, and serving others. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Lutheran Medical Center. She has also completed advanced training through The Dawson Academy and The Nash Institute, expanding her expertise in comprehensive, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry.
Since beginning her dental career in 2012, Dr. Zidor has cared for patients in New York, Texas, and Georgia. She understands that many people feel anxious about dental treatment, worry about discomfort, or feel self-conscious about their smiles. By taking the time to listen, explain treatment options, and provide compassionate, judgment-free care, she helps patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident every step of the way.
Today, Dr. Z is proud to serve the Buford community at Great Smiles Buford Center, where she provides comprehensive family, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. She combines advanced clinical training, modern technology, and a gentle approach to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while building lasting relationships based on trust and personalized care. Outside the office, Dr. Z enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to Christian music, staying active, traveling, and volunteering in underserved communities.
